Treatments

Rejuvenation and resurfacing

Skin ageing is subject to extrinsic factors (sun exposure, smoking, diet, cosmetic routine, stress, etc.) and intrinsic factors, which we cannot modify, such as genetics or the passage of time.

Controlling modifiable factors and preventing photoaging are key to slowing down and minimising wrinkles, spots and changes in skin texture. Depending on factors such as age, phototype, the specific area to be treated or the patient’s expectations, we will select one treatment or another, and in many cases a combination of different strategies will be necessary. The aim of these treatments is to improve skin texture (improve spots and hyperpigmentation, reduce pore size, enhance skin luminosity and reduce fine wrinkles) by stimulating the production of dermal components such as collagen and elastin. It is also essential to combine these treatments with a cosmetic routine adapted to the patient’s skin condition.

The most commonly used devices for this purpose are devices such as intense pulsed light, CO2 laser, non-ablative fractional laser or fractional needle radiofrequency. Depending on the patient’s needs or objectives, peelings can also be performed as a complementary tool.
