Laser technology

Dr. Sara Gómez has advanced medical devices at her disposal to treat various skin conditions (photoaging, acne, rosacea, benign tumours, etc.).

Nordlys Intense Pulsed Light, by Candela

This pulsed light has three heads (555nm, 530nm and 400nm) to improve and treat different skin alterations such as brown spots (sun spots or lentigines), red spots (telangiectasias and couperosis) and skin texture (induces the production of new collagen and improves skin texture).

It is a very versatile device and does not require prior anaesthetic treatment as it is usually well tolerated. It may darken spots after treatment or temporarily inflame the skin, although the postoperative period is usually manageable.

Candela Frax 1550

It consists of a non-ablative fractionated erbium laser that increases collagen synthesis, improves the appearance of scars and stretch marks, and improves photoaged skin. It requires prior topical anaesthesia and allows the patient to return to their daily activities immediately as it only generates a few hours of redness.

Candela CO2RE

It is a fractionated CO2 laser that allows the skin to be treated at different levels (from the most superficial area to the deepest dermis). It has the capacity to increase collagen synthesis, making it the most suitable treatment for improving acne scars, surgical and traumatic scars, enhancing skin rejuvenation (improving the overall appearance of the skin and reducing the appearance of fine wrinkles), and effectively eliminating benign tumours (dermal melanocytic nevi, seborrhoeic keratoses, syringomas, xanthelasmas, ruby spots, etc.).

Cutera Secret PRO

This device combines fractionated bipolar needle radiofrequency and fractionated CO2 laser. It allows combined treatments, increasing the effectiveness and safety of the procedures. It is useful in photoaging, as a complement to the improvement of skin fragility, for the treatment of stretch marks and scars due to almost any cause.

Cutera Excel V+

This device combines a 532nm LBO and a 1064nm Nd:YAG, which can treat superficial and deep vascular lesions of different sizes. It is considered the best vascular lesion treatment platform in the United States.

It has the CoolView TM head to treat visible vascular lesions with a cooled head, allowing good tolerance and safety of the procedures, and the GenesisTM head, which allows treating flushing and improving skin texture without the need to suspend normal activities.

Quanta Discovery Pico

Versatile device that includes wavelengths of 532nm, 1064nm and 694nm. It can treat benign pigmented lesions in high phototypes, improve photoaging and generate collagen remodelling in scars.

Candela Vbeam Perfecta

Pulsed dye laser (wavelength of 595nm) that can be used to treat vascular lesions and keloid and hypertrophic scars with a vascular component. It is also useful for treating other vascular alterations such as rosacea, haemangiomas or telangiectasias.
